No sweatpants in sight here! Rihanna stepped out in Los Angeles and entered a book store wearing quite the crane-your-neck look. The singer wore a ginormous fur hat from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 collection. The hulking piece was huge and spanned towards the edges of RiRi’s shoulders, like a magnificent creature ready to take off from her head. The larger-than-life accessory fit the rest of Rihanna’s outré look, which consisted of über rare Tom Ford-era Gucci pants. The jeans, which come with a feathered flare, are from the Gucci Spring 1999 collection. (Search for them, and you’ll find one pair in existence on the internet that is valued at over 15k). For a final touch of glam, Rihanna carried a Fendi bag.
More standout items here? Rihanna walked out with two books including Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike by the author Phil Knight and Marvel Encyclopedia by DK and Stan Lee. Shoe Dog delves into the history of Nike and how its founder, Knight built the company into an empire. Marvel Encyclopedia explores the nitty-gritty of superheroes, and according to the book’s website, it chronicles “1,200 of Marvel’s most memorable characters, with details of their powers and thrill-packed careers.” Everything, including the books, felt very Rihanna: a businesswoman with out-of-this-world appeal, and unbeatable style to boot.
