From Mexican pottery to locally handmade soaps, La Belle Maison Decor is a new business in Houma offering unique home fashion and gifts.
La Belle Maison Decor, owned and operated by Brandie and Dustin Breaux, offers products made by 10 local vendors in addition to pottery, furniture and wall art imported from Mexico. Products made by local vendors include soaps, candles and home decor.
“Everything over here is unique and you can’t just get it anywhere,” Dustin said.
The shop is in the Chateau Plaza, 488 Corporate Drive in Houma.

Dustin and Brandie began selling ceramics and other home goods from their garage at the beginning of the year, inspired by a store owned by Dustin’s aunt and uncle in Mississippi. In early February, Dustin was laid off from his job. Unable to find new work, he decided to invest in the business and open a storefront. The decor shop first opened its storefront in July but it was closed for most of September because of Hurricane Ida.
