After a long wait, season 2 of Love Is Blind premieres on Friday, February 11. But even though the second season of the show is—finally—just starting, it’s only natural to wonder if Love Is Blind is getting a season 3 as well. After all, Netflix and “Obviously” Nick Lachey made us wait two whole years before getting to watch another batch of singles enter the pods in an attempt to find love…or fame…or some combination of the two. So will we have to wait just as long for another season?
Here’s everything we know about Love is Blind season 3.
Well, the answer is that, yes, Love Is Blind is coming back for a third season. In March 2020, the dating show was renewed for two more seasons, only a month after the first season premiered. At the time, a Netflix press release explained that season 2 would premiere in 2021, but that didn’t end up happening. Instead, the first five episodes of season 2 premiere on February 11. The next four hit the streaming service on February 18. And the finale will debut on February 25.
No release date for season 3 has been announced yet, but we do know that it has already been filmed. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in September 2021, host Vanessa Lachey said, “So we shot season 2—that’s gonna come out February 2022, and I don’t know, am I allowed to say? We shot season 3 already.”
Vanessa also spoke about filming the seasons in a March 2021 interview with Hollywood Life. “We are shooting season 2 and 3! And we will get those out to you guys as soon as we can!” she said at the time. “We start shooting those in less than a month, and we are just very excited.” She also shared that it took some time to figure out how to safely film the show during the pandemic.
With the seasons filming back-to-back, hopefully, this means that there won’t be too much time between seasons 2 and 3. For now, we can all sit back, enjoy the drama of Love Is Blind season 2 and find out if anyone will reach the reality TV heights achieved by Jessica Batten and her wine-drinking dog. And if you just can’t get enough, just know that Love Is Blind: Japan premiered its first few episodes on February 8 and an entire season of Love Is Blind: Brazil is already available to watch. Love Is Blind—it’s truly an international phenomenon.
