The Senate passed a $459 billion government spending bill Friday, according to multiple outlets, approving half of the funding measures needed to keep the government operating just one day before it was set to partially shut down.

Lawmakers approved the bill in a 75-22 vote and secured budgets for the Justice, Agriculture, Transportation and Interior departments through the end of September, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Roughly 30% of the federal government will be funded for the next six months, the Washington Post reported, noting the deadline for the remaining government funds is just two weeks away.

The bill now goes to President Joe Biden to be signed.

The next funding measures account for the remaining 70% of the federal budget and include the Department of Defense, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services. The deadline to pass the measures is March 22.

The House of Representatives voted 339-85 on Wednesday to pass the $459 billion bill following pushback from Republicans who took issue with a lack of attached policies related to border security or limited access to abortion medication. The bill was initially set to expire last Friday before President Joe Biden signed a bill extending the budget and averting a government shutdown for the fourth time in recent months.
