Hollywood hitmaker Ryan Murphy—the mastermind behind Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and more—has found a buyer for his seven-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills. The six-time Primetime Emmy Award winner sold the home for $16.25 million, Dirt reports.

He originally bought the place over 11 years ago for $10 million from the one and only Diane Keaton. She worked with New York designer Stephen Shadley to restore the Spanish Colonial Revival house, which was originally built in the 1920s by California architect Ralph Flewelling. Keaton transformed the space by brightening things up and delivering timeless functionality to all the corners of the home.

“It was very, very dark, and I wanted to make it light and breezy,” Keaton previously shared with AD. The star added that she had her kids in mind when coming up with the design. “For kids a home needs to be warm and livable, a place where you can jump around, make a mess and enjoy your life,” she said. The property features a media room, library, a fitness area, and a courtyard, as well as an above-ground swimming pool and an accompanying guesthouse.

Murphy and his family haven’t lived there full-time ever since they snagged an even bigger spot nearby, which he opened to AD in 2020. For that home, he also called upon Shadley, along with Pam Shamshiri, to help him create a more minimalistic decor scheme than the one he’d used in Keaton’s former home. “I kept saying I wanted to feel like I was living in a bowl of miso soup,” he said.
