Rihanna’s street style has never faltered, not even during the coronavirus pandemic, when many people have put dressing up on pause. The singer was photographed out in West Hollywood last night, leaving dinner at Nobu. She wore a white slip dress with a bomber jacket and silky boots. She accessorized with a black mask, and pearls can be seen on her dress straps.
The sighting comes days after Rihanna was photographed wearing a great all-pastel look on Friday that included a vintage pink and blue plaid Chanel coat, vintage blue Chanel choker, blue slacks, a crop top, and a white mask. She was going out to dinner at Giorgio Baldi then.
While Rihanna has yet to release her highly anticipated ninth album, the singer is currently running both a makeup business, Fenty Beauty, and lingerie line, Savage x Fenty. She spoke to British Vogue last March about how hands on she is with her businesses. With Fenty Beauty in particular, she’s even doing the copywriting for products.
“Oh yeah! I write all of the copy for the websites, the product descriptions, product names, the color names…” she said. “I do have a huge team, but I just don’t necessarily think their tone is mine. I’d feel like a fraud selling something that I can’t stand by.”
She also spoke to the outlet about cutting out the bullshit in her life. “Since I turned 32, I’m realizing life is really short,” she said. “You don’t have a lot of time to tolerate shit, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you’re overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I’m overwhelmed too much. What’s happening now is that I’m going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down.”
