Diving in-depth on the M1 iPad Pro, the redesigned iMac, and exactly what Apple Podcast Subscriptions means for creators.

The new iPad Pro, powered by the M1, is now one of the most powerful devices in Apple’s lineup. Buyers will be able to pre-order the device on April 30 and actually upgrade its configuration to match the M1 MacBook Pro.

With all that power, Apple needs to follow this impressive device with an updated iPadOS to match. We discuss what we hope WWDC brings in professional apps like Final Cut Pro, as well as the pricing configurations of both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Apple gave an even more significant redesign to the 24-inch iMac, which is now also powered by the M1 chip. Innovative features include a magnetic braided power cable, redesigned speakers that boast Spatial Audio, improved 1080p FaceTime camera, and the iMac comes in seven colors. Unlike previous renders, though, the 24-inch iMac still has a noticeable chin on the front and a white border surrounds the display, which is getting a mixed response.

AirTag is now available for purchase from Apple’s website at $29, or a pack of four can be bought for $99. Early reviews are out and Apple has provided more information on their anti-stalking features.

As podcast creators, we describe Apple’s new Podcast Subscription platform in-depth and what it means for the industry. Apple’s tools for creating and hosting a podcast may benefit those just starting out, but exclusive-content shows will be locked to the Apple Podcast app.
