Apparently, those “Changes” Justin Bieber sang about on his last album also apply to his real estate portfolio. The pop star and his wife, Hailey Bieber, recently offloaded one of their Beverly Hills homes, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that they sold it fully furnished for $7.995 million, quite a bit below the $8.5 million they paid in early 2019 and the $8.995 million they first asked last November.

A bar area in the home.

The Monterey Colonial home dates back to the 1930s and comprises just over 6,100 square feet of living space, with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The house, nicknamed “The Tropics,” is centered around a sizable sunken living room that leads out to the large backyard, zero-edge swimming pool, and cabana via a wall of sliding glass doors. The home also features a cozy kitchen with white oak cabinets, a home theater, a stately library, and a wine cellar complete with Art Deco–style wet bar and banana leaf–print wallpaper.

The house features a perfect work from home area.

Despite these luxurious amenities, the Biebers seemed to become less than impressed with the home within a few months of moving in. In October 2019, Justin posted more than a dozen photos on Instagram as he toured the home, musing in the captions about whether he should put it on the market. “I think I wanna sell my home in Beverly Hills who wants it,” he wrote alongside one view of the family room, then sweetened the deal by adding, “I’ll sell it with all the furniture . MAKE AN OFFER.”

Interestingly, among the listing agents tapped by the singer and supermodel to secure that offer was Compass’s Dalton Gomez, who is currently engaged to the Biebers’ friend Ariana Grande. (Matt and Josh Altman of Douglas Elliman also represented the seller, while Steven Schaefer and Jay Luchs of Schaefer and Luchs represented the buyer.)

Hopefully the Biebers are much happier in their newest Beverly Hills abode, which they purchased for $25.8 million in August. That home includes seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms on more than 11,100 square feet of living space, all set on 2.5 acres of land. They’re also the owners of a sprawling 101-acre estate in Ontario, Canada, which they snapped up for $5 million a few weeks before tying the knot in a September 2018 courthouse ceremony.
