New York City is currently experiencing a record-breaking heatwave, and Jennifer Lawrence used her outfit to issue something of a fashion-meets-function PSA.
Today, the actor braved the nearly-triple-digit temperatures in a well considered, heat-friendly outfit. Lawrence wore an oversized vintage graphic T-shirt that bore a prescient reminder (“RECYCLE”) and a drawing of the planet. Lawrence kept the white color palette for her bottoms: a cream silk slip mini layered over a sheer white lace-hemmed midi skirt.
Lawrence’s accessorizing was also strategic. She shielded her face from the sun with a white Ralph Lauren baseball cap, paired with rectangular tortoiseshell sunglasses, and wore a pair of brown leather slides with a double strap and a toe-loop. Always fond of a statement bag, the actor packed all of her essentials into a poppy-red Hermès Clemence Victoria. (She’s particularly fond of the French house’s underrated bags, also counting a burgundy alligator Bolide among her collection.)
