Fashion Week officially started this week, and Zendaya spent the first night fêting a remarkable new achievement: The Euphoria actress has just been tapped as one of Bulgari’s new ambassadors. Zendaya attended the Brooklyn party for their new unisex B.zero1 Rock line and to celebrate the new role. (Naomi Scott, EXO’s Kris Wu, and Lily Aldridge are the brand’s three other faces.)
Naturally, Zendaya wore a ton of diamonds to the event. Her exquisite necklace was the centerpiece of her outfit, and she wore a belted organza shirtdress and black pants from Rahul Mishra’s Spring 2020 Couture collection with it. Her co-star and reported boyfriend Jacob Elordi was also at the Bulgari event, although they weren’t photographed together.
Chief executive officer Jean-Christophe Babin explained why Zendaya, Wu, and Scott were tapped as faces of the brand in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily. “We decided for the first time to have a man as the protagonist for this campaign and had gone through a roster of very complementary talents,” he said. “Zendaya is epitomizing the Generation-Z spirit, Naomi Scott is British and Indian—it’s this combination that is evidence of the diversity of Bulgari. It’s not a brand only for Americans or Chinese. It’s a global economy with global diversity and we are acknowledging the universal appeal of the brand.”
