At nearly seven months old, baby Khai is taking in the best of New York City’s cultural institutions with her parents Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik—and the paparazzi is capturing a little part of it. Hadid and Malik were photographed out together for the third time this year yesterday, taking their daughter to the New York Aquarium in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
Hadid wore a long gray blazer coat, a black top, and a black mask. Malik wore a yellow plaid jacket, a black hoodie, and a matching black mask. Khai tagged along in a black stroller. Her parents kept her hidden from the paparazzi.
Hadid and Khai’s trip to the aquarium comes one day after the two went to the Met with Hadid’s father. Hadid took a lot of photos of the Monday art museum visit and shared them on her Instagram. She even included a couple shots of Khai, although she purposely hid her daughter’s face to protect her privacy.
Khai, Malik, and Hadid went to the American Museum of Natural History in March too, making the aquarium the third big New York City attraction that they’ve been documented visiting this spring.
Hadid spoke to Vogue earlier this year about her decision to not show her daughter’s face in photographs in her first big interview on motherhood. “I have friends [Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds] who are public figures and that’s how they’ve gone about it, and I see their kids really blossom in a different way,” she said.
Hadid’s sister Bella added, “I think she [Gigi] wants to be real online, but until her child wants to be in the spotlight and can make the decision herself, she doesn’t want to put her in that position.”
