For a minute there during the pandemic, showgoers toned down on the outlandish and opted for “normal” everyday styling. Not anymore. Much of what was trending this season was about getting the shot. Balaclavas and kooky winter headwear lead the pack, and, rather strangely considering the frigid temps in Paris, we saw more than one pair of shorts. Optic whites and warm cream tones were the season’s pick for monochrome looks, and painterly top coats were go-to’s to add visual interest. Closer to the runway’s point of view were attendees in full suits—ties included. Per usual, there were a variety of takes on the two-piece, but tradition spoke the loudest.
