Selena Gomez wore yet another fabulous coat out today in New York City, with paparazzi capturing her wearing a white wrap coat with an all-black look underneath. Gomez is currently shooting Only Murders in the Building’s second season. This is just the latest statement outerwear she has worn while on set.
Gomez hasn’t revealed how she’s spending Valentine’s Day, but the star is currently single. In June, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how finding love wasn’t Gomez’s top priority, as she was focused on her work, health, and self-care.
“Selena is very traditional, she would love to find ‘her person’ and get married and have a family one day,” a source told the outlet at the time. “[But] she is not looking for something serious now and is in no rush to settle down as her priority continues to be her health, career, and philanthropy work. She has worked so hard on her physical and mental health over the past few years, and she knows she must be the healthiest version of herself if she’s going to share her life with someone else, so she will only get involved in a serious relationship when she feels ready.”
Gomez spoke to Vogue Australia that same month about realizing how “rare” she really is. “I think most of my experiences in relationships have been cursed,” she started. “I’ve been way too young to be exposed to certain things when I was in relationships. I guess I needed to find what was that word for me, because I felt so less than in past relationships, and never really felt equal.”
“It wasn’t even necessarily like: ‘Oh, I feel that way, let me sing it,’” she continued about the song “Rare” and the message it sends about understanding your self-value and expecting others to, too. “It was almost like: ‘Actually, I need to feel that way about myself.’ I think that my family, and my chosen family—I feel like I’m surrounded by real people.”
