Move aside tomato girl summer—it’s Alex Consani in Portofino spring. The setting? Pucci’s spring 2025 show, where the Italian label, under Camille Miceli, took over La Cervara for the occasion, a characterful 14th century abbey with breathtaking views of the Golfo del Tigullio.

Consani walked the Pucci show at sunset on Friday, alongside the likes of Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy, and Naomi Campbell. She wore a ’60s-esque mini dress in black with a powder pink, hypnotic Pucci print, paired with intricately patterned gladiator-style sandals that gave Italian lady of leisure.

The model got to enjoy some time on either side of the Pucci affair. “Portofino is amazing!” Consani tells Vogue. “I have spent most of my time with friends since I have been here—Karen Elson and my queen Lulu Tenny, as well as Felice and all the other girls here. [I’ve been] swimming in the sea and shopping—a true vacation!”

Consani took Vogue along for the trip: Kicking things off in her hotel room, dressed casually in a teal and cobalt blue Pucci bikini, with a gold belly chain, and gray sweats—comfy and casual Pucci. A quick taxi with her fellow models was soundtracked by Charli xcx’s “Party 4 U.” Rehearsals took place on the terrace in the sun, with captivating coastal views. In between, Consani fooled around on an ice-cream bike: “You want two scoops? We only have Pucci.”

Outside of the tumult of fashion month and in its bucolic setting, the Pucci show, Consani says, was “truly one of the most relaxed shows I have done.”

Miceli’s Pucci productions reflect the brand’s euphoric prints and color palettes, bringing ebullient energy and spirit to various, iconic Italian locations. Under the artistic director, Pucci has traversed the banks of the river Arno, brought the carnival to Capri, and given sartorial stories to the ski bunnies of Saint Moritz. On this occasion, the Portofino dinner parties and cocktail events have stretched long and late into the night, with an abundance of local cuisine, Aperol spritzes, and dancing. “The dinners have been filled with tea, laughs, and drinks,” says Consani, “also, a whole lot of pasta as one does in Italy!”

But what’s Consani’s pasta dish of choice? “Pesto! I love pesto. I would eat it every day if it tasted like it does here.”

To sum up her brief jaunt to the Italian riviera, Alex Consani describes her mood as such: “Laughing in a big hat with a Birkin full of sand.” Grazie mille bella!
