Kendall Jenner Can’t Settle On a Coachella Aesthetic

Kendall Jenner is a Coachella veteran, and every year, she’s styled herself very differently. In early iterations, it was all about denim cut-offs and gladiator sandals, cropped peasant tops, and bandanas—classic Cali, party in the desert dressing. As she grew into her style, things got more refined: Jenner and her stylist Dani Michelle opted for more anti-festival fits, looking to simple crop tops and denim via brands like St. Agni. Over the course of more than a decade, the Kendall Jenner school of style’s codes can be traced through her Coachella outfits of choice.

This year for Coachella 2025, Jenner has called upon some varying aspects of her style and wardrobe. The model hosted the ‘818 Outpost’ event for her brand Tequila 818—for the third year in a row—where the theme was “1970s Autocamp Soirée.” She made the most of the sunny California weather in a (color of the season) butter yellow, cotton midi Proenza Schouler dress. (Aptly named the ‘Kendall’ dress). She paired it with pair of black sunglasses and, what else, but The Row’s Dune rubber flatform sandals. Her brunette bob was kept sleek and straight. Jenner was also joined by her friend Hailey Bieber, who has also been mixing up her aesthetics for the occasion: For 818, she wore a backless black linen mini-dress, and later, switched it up with a plunging vintage red leather Mugler corset.

As festivities continued, Jenner was spotted out enjoying some of the acts with sister Kylie Jenner and her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, Kendall slipped into something more casual, and in keeping with last year’s outfit tones. She wore a gray racerback tank top, and black, rolled up straight-leg jeans, with silver and black sneakers, and an olive green shoulder bag that matched her manicure. Jenner also pulled her bob back into a tight, low bun.

Jenner also spent the first night of Coachella hosting a festival kickoff party for FWRD, where she serves as creative director. For the much more sleek and chic occasion, she opted for a ladylike, sandy-toned bias-cut dress from Danish brand Tove’s resort 2025 collection.

With more days to come, who’s to say what festival aesthetic Kendall will call upon next: Shall we throw it back to 2016? Maybe not…
