Jennifer Lopez is calling it quits with Ben Affleck, according to multiple reports, filing for divorce after two years of marriage that made for immense tabloid fodder recently as rumors swirled that the two were on the outs.
Lopez submitted the filing in Los Angeles on Tuesday, with the official separation date being April 26, 2024, the Associated Press reported.
Lopez and Affleck married in July 2022 and had a larger, official ceremony one month later in Georgia at Affleck’s estate.
The two made appearances at premieres and promotional events for each other’s various projects, which involved movies like “The Last Duel,” “The Mother” and “This Is Me … Now: A Love Story,” according to Variety.

Lopez and Affleck were engaged in 2002 after meeting on the set of Martin Brest’s crime comedy “Gigli.” The two separated about one year later, days before their wedding was scheduled. Lopez later married singer-songwriter Marc Anthony while Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner. Lopez and Affleck reunited in July 2021 and married one year later. Rumors around the actors’ separation swirled this year, with Affleck moving his belongings out of their home in Los Angeles two months ago, according to People.
