In the past, shopping sustainably often meant you were limited to perusing the racks of thrift stores or scouring the internet for eco-friendly brands within your price range. But thankfully, we live in the year 2022, where there are so many more options—including (drumroll, please) Amazon. Yep, the online retailer just announced its new brand Amazon Aware—an in-house label that features everything from household essentials and beauty products to (my personal fave!) everyday apparel.
Think: cozy loungewear, chic basics like tees and denim, and even activewear. Basically, it’s an entire capsule wardrobe you can order with Prime shipping. Even better? Nearly all of the items are available in sizes XXS through 7X (and 0 to 40 in denim). Plus, the prices range from $18 to $59, so you don’t have to worry ~too~ much about your budget.
Of course, the biggest focal point of this launch is that the items are certified carbon neutral and made with at least 50 percent recycled material—complying with the company’s Climate Friendly Pledge. ICYMI, Amazon launched the program in 2020 to let consumers know that what they’re buying meets a high eco-conscious standard, which is vetted by big-name third-party organizations like Global Organic Textile Standard, and Ecologo.
