Welcome to Cosmo Bachelorettes, a new column that peeks into some of the coolest bachelorette parties around the world, hosted by some of the chicest people on the planet. We get up close and personal by going deep with the bride, chitchatting about behind-the-scenes secrets and scoring access to all the candid photos you didn’t see in the Insta dump.

First up is the bachelorette of Tish Weinstock, a London-based journalist, girl-about-town, and current mom of two, whose maid of honor threw her a night she can barely remember but will never forget.

“The theme of the night was indie sleaze,” Tish says of the rager her best friend and maid of honor, actor Jazzy De Lisser, surprised her with in October 2022, weeks before Tish married stylist Tom Guinness in an 11th-century castle over Halloween weekend. “Jazzy kept the details minimal but told me to meet her at Chiltern Firehouse,” an iconic Central London hotel with a celeb-loved restaurant. There, Tish, author of How to Be a Goth, found a makeup artist, hairdresser, one-of-a-kind outfit made by her friend/designer Conner Ives, and plenty of champagne.

Post-glam, the women headed to a restaurant called Langan’s: “I walked in thinking we were just having a drink, and then I see all my friends from throughout my life, from school to adulthood,” recalls Tish. Blow-up penises decorated the room and everyone was dressed to theme in tartan, leather, and military jackets plus “dog collars with their names on them, because I used to wear one religiously.”

Margarita-fueled shenanigans ensued (“I don’t remember dinner…” Tish laughs) before the group made their way to Chateau Denmark in London’s Soho neighborhood, where a DJ was waiting to keep the party going. Soon after, performers started arriving, including a stripper (with a penchant for whipped cream), a drag queen, and a Britney Spears impersonator so good, “people were posting to their Stories, thinking it was really her.”

The night ended back at Chiltern, where they played charades until “an embarrassing hour” (ahem, 8 a.m.) before Tish did a “walk of shame in my veil and makeup halfway down my face” to Jazzy’s house to sleep for the rest of the day.
