Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette is just three episodes deep—as of tonight—but there have already been a few standout contestants that fans have been peeping suuuper hard. Case in point? Martin Gelbspan aka the 29-year-old dude who did an entire back flip when he first met Michelle.
So far we’ve seen Martin get a fair amount of screen time, so ofc it’s about time for a deep dive on the man trying to steal Michelle’s heart!
Even though he currently resides in Miami and has for a while now, Martin and his family emigrated from Argentina when he was 10 years old. Speaking of family, Martin is super close to his, and his ABC bio describes them as “loud” and “fun.”
Martin hopes to emulate his parents’ love story too. He says he got his passion from them and even learned “how a husband should treat his wife” from them too.
People tend to have a special soft spot for Dog Dads—and, you know, human dads too—but do! not! sleep! on all the Fun Uncles™ out there. Martin has a little niece who is truly so stinkin’ adorable, and his Instagram posts with her are the wholesome content you need rn. Thank me later.
What, you couldn’t tell from his Insta? This man is PASSIONATE about workouts! Martin has been helping “busy people get in the best shape of their lives without a gym” since 2011, but don’t go thinking he’s just a one-trick pony.
Martin also owned a real estate company and was been a real estate consultant, according to his LinkedIn profile (it says he’s still in those roles, but the sites for them no longer exist!). In his time in the real estate industry, Martin focused on residential spaces and expanded a bit into selling commercial properties too, all throughout the North Miami area.
The fitness buff is currently rocking a lil platinum moment on Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette, but in the past he’s sported a blueish teal hue, neon yellow, and even some leopard spots. We love a hair change!
Martin uses his Insta to offer guided workouts sometimes, but he takes it up a notch on his YouTube channel where the exercises are longer and more complex. He even has as an app called Gelbspan Method dedicated to fitness!
